The Quilting Bee offers instruction classes for machine owners who purchased their machine from our store. These classes help you learn to operate and maintain your serger, sewing, or embroidery machine. They are free of charge and may be taken as often as you feel necessary, while your machine is still in the current line, to get comfortable using your machine as space allows.
Please bring your own machine to learn and gain experience with it.
If you would like to take our guide classes but purchased your machine elsewhere, an hourly rate of $25/hour will apply. If you schedule a one-on-one for instruction, the private lesson rate of $50/hour will apply.
Please Note:
- REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
- Guide classes are grouped by machine brand and model (i.e. 7-series, 4/5-series, etc.) with the exception of embroidery instruction which may be grouped together within a brand. Please read carefully to ensure you enroll in the proper classes. If you are unsure, give us a call! We are happy to guide you to the proper class(es).
- Required Supplies: Your machine, power cord, foot control, appropriate bobbin, all accessories that came with your machine, manual, scissors, thread, and note-taking supplies.
- If you do not have a current machine model, please call to inquire about your options. We are happy to accommodate other machines based on instructor availability, as you may require a one-on-one session.
