In the retail world of quilting business, The
Quilting Bee is definitely an old-timer! In fact it goes back to the days
before rotary cutters when sales tickets were written on scratch-paper and a
cupcake tin was used to hold the money.
Owned by Jackie Wolff and her husband, today
the business is one of the best known in the industry and was featured as one of
the Top Ten Quilt Shops in America by American Patchwork and Quilting in
1998. Over 4000 bolts of fabric provide abundant choices for quilters, and
the latest books and patterns are always available. (And those that we
don't carry, we're happy to look into special ordering!) Stitchery and
quilt kits are a specialty of The Quilting Bee and dozens of delightful, easy to
put together kits are always available. |

But that isn't all that draws quilters to The
Quilting Bee...Its inviting, creative atmosphere is an inspiration to
visitors. Hundreds of samples and delightful displays bring the quilt
patterns to life. Jackie and her staff pride themselves on building a
supportive atmosphere that allows creativity to flourish and they have
resoundingly achieved that goal!
